I am trying to add a link to my organization’s Instagram page to the nav bar on my site. I learned how to do this a couple years ago, but since then Webflow has apparently changed how it displays its sidebar settings menu. Now in the “link settings” area for a navlink, there is no space to paste my special text. The only place I can find to change the text is when I go to the divblock settings, where I can see the little bars that reference the special text that I’m using here. But I’m unable to paste a new link there.
Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you with this:
Access the Nav Menu: Go to your Webflow project and navigate to the page where you want to edit the navigation bar.
Enter Design Mode: Enter the Designer mode by clicking on the “Design” button at the top right corner of the Webflow interface.
Edit the Navbar: Select the navigation bar element on your page by clicking on it. This will bring up the settings panel for the navbar.
Add a New Navlink: Inside the settings panel, look for the section where you can add or edit the navlinks. You may need to expand or collapse certain sections to find it.
Edit the Navlink: Once you’ve located the section for navlinks, find the specific navlink where you want to add the Instagram link. You should see options to edit the text and link for that navlink.
Paste the Link: In the field labeled “Link,” paste the URL of your organization’s Instagram page. Make sure to include the full URL, starting with “https://www.instagram.com/your_organization”.
Save Changes: After pasting the link, make sure to save your changes by clicking the “Save” or “Publish” button at the top right corner of the Webflow interface.
Preview and Test: Once you’ve saved your changes, preview your website to see if the Instagram link appears correctly in the navigation bar. Test the link to make sure it directs users to the correct Instagram page.
