Sorting a CMS by a reference - is it not possible?

I have a CMS of current sales on my sales page and each sale is linked to a company in a different CMS. I want to sort the Sales CMS A-Z by the company name but it doesn’t come up on the sort options in the Collection List Wrapper Settings… am I missing something or is that really not possible

If you click the pin shown in the below image you can then add the company to the view and sort ascending or descending.

Thanks for the response, but I think that I wasn’t clear with what I meant. My bad.

I meant the CMS on the Sales page itself:
