On landing page you ask for the email address → that takes you to a signup page.
Is it possible to transfer over the email that was added on the landing page to the signup page without it automatically submitting?

Possible with custom coding - intercept and inserts variable as a get parameter via url to second page which reads parameter and inserts into field.
