Seeking Advice: Building a Webflow Portfolio Without a Paid Account

Hi Webflow Community,

I’ve spent the past year learning Webflow through Webflow University, practicing my skills, and creating my own portfolio site. I’ve developed a strong foundation and am confident in my ability to create websites using Webflow.

However, I’ve hit a roadblock. In my country (India), potential clients often hesitate to invest in Webflow sites, which led me to work with platforms like WordPress. But my heart is set on Webflow because of its power and creative freedom.

Here’s the challenge:

  1. Many freelancing platforms require me to show previous Webflow projects, which I don’t have because I haven’t landed Webflow clients yet.
  2. I’m ready to help businesses or individuals for free to build my portfolio and gain experience.
  3. I don’t currently have a paid Webflow account, and I realized that to collaborate on a client’s existing project, I’d need to upgrade to a Freelancer account — which is financially difficult for me right now.

I’d love your advice or suggestions on how to overcome this loop.

  • Are there ways to collaborate with others without a paid account?
  • Is anyone here looking for help with their Webflow project? I’m eager to contribute and build my portfolio while helping others.

I’m passionate about becoming a Webflow Partner in the future, but I need to take this first step. If anyone has faced similar challenges or has guidance on navigating this situation, I’d be truly grateful.

Looking forward to your thoughts,
