I’m using Zapier to generate draft emails for every form submission on my website, but a wave of Russian spam pushed my account over Zapier’s limit, and now I’m being charged for every submission. I’ve tried several times in the past to add a CAPTCHA, but each time the form stopped working.
I can’t be the only one dealing with this — why is it so difficult to block this kind of spam?
Dealing with spam form submissions can be frustrating, but Webflow provides multiple layers of protection to help keep your forms secure. Here are the available spam prevention methods:
Bot blocking analyzes mouse movements and user behaviors to block automated submissions before they’re sent. You can enable this feature in Site settings > Apps & Integrations > Cloudflare Turnstile spam protection.
Spam filtering is enabled by default on new sites and acts as an additional layer of protection. For maximum security, we recommend keeping both spam filtering and bot blocking enabled.
If you’re using reCAPTCHA, remember that every form on your site must include a reCAPTCHA element - forms without it will fail to submit.
