Just to ask how far anyone has got in designing a proper footnote system for rich text essays. Ideally this would work like wikipedia, with a note identifier in superscript and different color, linking to the footnote, which then has a link back to the same place in the text. I think this could be done on static pages using internal page links but could it be done with CMS collection pages for blog posts?
I’m guessing the styling of the identifier could be done with finsweet’s Sweet Text system, but we couldn’t do the rest of it because we can’t have internal links to the same page with CMS collection pages?
I know it’s probably way too ambitious but would love to be able to do this, so just checking. Many thanks for any advice.
