Pulling field data from one to another collection list by multi-reference

Hey there Webflow community!!
Normally by multi-referencing, we can pull data from collection items of other cms collection. right?
But can we pull field data (inside collection items) by multi-referencing?

for example, I have 2 collection lists

  1. Blog post1 collection
  • items: top python courses (fields: course 1 title, course 2 title, course 3 title…)
  • items: top data science courses (fields: course 1 title, course 2 title, course 3 title…)
  1. Blog post2 collection
    items: course titles (multi-reference) (field: course 1 title, course 2 title, course 3 title…) ? can I add those field items here as multi-reference?

I have searched but didn’t find the solution anywhere. Hope the genius Webflow community might come up with a solution.

What you’re describing isn’t possible in Webflow without using a nested collection list, which has limits - but it’s realtively simple in Airtable using a Lookup field – so if you were to use Airtable to manage your CMS, that would be quite simple - the linked references in would be in another table in Airtable, but just regular fields in the first collection, populated by Airtable’s Lookup field.

If you’re running up against Webflow’s CMS limitations, I enthusiastically suggest looking into using Airtable to work with the data!
