Problems with Forms and POST requests

I am trying very hard to integrate a form of another providers than Mailchimp using a post request on Webflow.

You can see it in the preview page. Two things happen

a) It always navigates away from the page (at least I got it to open in a new tab)
b) There is no success or error state, even though the post request was successful.

How do I fix this?

Here is an example of using a third-party processor and Ajax to handle the submit. Extract what is applicable to you.

Unfortunately I can’t get it to work. The “prevent Default” doesn’t work for disabling the submit of the Webflow response and I am always getting an error message for the post request I submit.
