Problem with dropdown links background color

Hi

I am new to webflow. I really like it, but I also have troubles not always having things behaving the way I expect it or see it on the university. So all mentors will be greatly appreciated.

Please don’t focus on the design itself, but rather on the functionalities, I am still trying things out.

  1. I have put a dropdown menu item in my navbar and I would like to change the background colour of the links in the opened dropdown. The problem is that when I change the colour to let say black, it’s still dark grey as if opacity was not 100% and the grey standard colour was still there.

1a. How do I get rid of the standard dropdown background grey colour, so my dropdown links have a black colour with opacity 0,5 and the background of the section can be seen?

1b. Why does adding a background colour to the dropdown links still appears as id the opacity was not 100% (see the two first dropdown links)

Thanks for helping a newbie.
Best, Manu

Okay. I figure out one thing (1b). This is just because for some reason, the true colour is only seen on preview, not in the Designer. Any idea why? Is that supposed to be like this (most other things can be seen right away in the designer)?

Still need help on the others…

Okay. I solve 1a. I needed to put the background colour od the dropdown list to opacity zero.
