Hi there,
I just wanted to bring this to someone’s attention who it may be relevant to, but all these new pricing updates and schemes are very convoluted and complicated, constant changes and backtracking for example client billing is now available again after having being removed relatively recently, and recent reductions in service in terms of native membership sites, etc. there’s so much constant change it is hard to keep up and keep a track of things, not to mention design UI changes, and the price is continually going up…
I’m worried that this will continue to put clients off, I’ve lost clients due to these factors, expense, convoluted business practice, it’s hard to get across to clients that Webflow is worth the effort, to be honest I’m not sure if it is these days, price wise for what you actually get, 5+ years ago I think it was and was on track with some amazing plans with the community behind webflow, and a real sense of camaraderie, however fastforward to now, it all seems to have lost it’s way and been bogged down with services no one asked for and there’s still massive glaring features that have been neglected! It is becoming less and less worth the effort. I’m not sure who or what is driving all this constant change, it seems for the sake of change, not in a good way.
I’m also worried about the move to bandwidth pricing, for a start, who’s to say what is genuine traffic… Again another barrier in terms of selling webflow to potential clients, it keeps getting more and more expensive and a harder sell.
While I’m writing, another thing is the current speed of the dashboard and design user interface, it’s painfully slow, sometimes it takes 13 or 14 seconds to load my sites within the dashboard, every time… Loading a site is also very slow, in between pages slow, or not at all, all slows down workflow etc etc, I have access to fast fibre broadband so it is not a speed issue on my end.
To summarise, I feel I’m getting less and less for me and my clients, however I’m having to pay more and more and expect my clients to pay more, it is becoming a harder cell these days. Especially taking into account the price of everything generally, honestly I’m not sure whether to continue with Webflow or to look for a different platform with better features and a cheaper price. As much as I love using Webflow, it’s forcing me to look around. Hopefully this can be taken into account and sent to the people who need to hear it.
Thanks in advance.
