Poorly performing SVG animation

I made this little campaign website and it’s got an opening SVG animation that plays right as you hit the URL. It used to be better smooth, but now it’s really staggered and drops loads of frames. I’m not sure why it’s happening.

Things I’ve tried with no luck

  • removing javascript from running
  • removing interactions from playing
  • removing other SVG animations
  • deleting and importing a new version

I’m not sure what else to try.

Any ideas why it’s performing so badly?

Hi Wouter,

I’m not sure if you’ve fixed this but it looks great on my end, unless I’m missing something? I took a video of my screen and uploaded it to my one drive, the link is below if you wanted to take a look.

I wonder if it’s maybe a problem with your device? Do you have another computer you can try it on?

you’re right, it seems to be something to do with my machine. I’ve asked a few people to try them on other devices and they don’t have any problems. Strange. Well, at least it’s working well.
