I’m sure this request (or similaR) have been posted many times but I’m having trouble finding ones that answer my specific request… any help/explanation greatly appreciated.
Can someone explain how publish, staging, and user rights work in the following scenario:
- I have a client set up with a Free Workspace plan and their site on a CMS plan.
- They have users with Marketer or Content Editor roles, with “Can publish” switched off
- If they make edits to the site, will these only be reflected on the staging site?
- If they make edits to the site, these edits will only go live on the custom domain when a user with publishing rights next publishes the site?
- If they make edits to the site, can a user with publishing right see a list of the edits/changes anywhere? (I know Enterprise can but I’m trying to understand this process for non-Enterprise sites)
My confusion above comes from trying to understand what happens when users without permission to publish make changes. And how do site Admins, Designers, etc. manage/control changes from other users.
Thanks!
