Placing a div block over the slider to prevent it from stopping

Continuing the discussion from Slider stops autoplaying after you have interacted with the slider:

Hey I was wondering if you can help me with your solution, “By placing a div block that’s positioned over the slider with a higher z-index to prevent interactivity”. I can’t seem to get this to work. Is it because my slider doesn’t have a z-index? Thanks!
