Page Persists Old Data

When publishing a redesigned page I am experiencing that the page persists an old version. I have unpublished the site and the entire site is unpublished except for this one page:

http://non-profit-services.webflow.io/downers-grove-adventist-school

Any thoughts as to how to force update a page?

Hi @joshalo3

Sometimes it takes time for the cache to update.
Just use Ctrl + F5 to force the page to refresh completely

It should provide you with the most current page published.

Thanks @IggsTP but I believe something is stuck.

I have tried a number of things to force the page to publish the newest state but nothing seems to work.

My page currently looks like this:

But is showing an old version of itself:

I’m having the same problem with http://ddky.webflow.io. The published version seems to be stuck from yesterday afternoon. I made several changes this morning which were not displayed when published. After that, I unpublished the site, yet it still remains available and outdated.

Hi @joshalo3

Thanks for posting about this. I visited the link you shared and I get a 404 as expected

Can you please try to reproduce the behavior in an incognito/private browser window?

Thanks in advance, and I’m standing by for your reply.

Hi @escott

Can you please share your Read-Only link

@Brando here is the Read-Only link for my site:

https://preview.webflow.com/preview/ddky?preview=93253ed60417e7fbf57085166c8f5e32

Thanks!

Here is my share only link:

https://preview.webflow.com/preview/non-profit-services?preview=4e395b8ed3d9d8e8ddb037f2ecd57bd0

Also I was able to go incognito after unpublishing the site again and this is the only page that is still published and the only page that will not display any changes I have made in the designer.

I just tried visiting the site on Chrome and the same issue is happening there for me as well.

@Brando
It just updated and everything seems to be working fine. Thank you for your interest in this issue.

Thanks for the update @joshalo3 that is odd for sure. Please keep us updated with any other odd behavior.

@escott your site http://ddky.webflow.io2 is also leading to a 404 page for me as expected.

Can you also try to reproduce the behavior in an incognito/private browser window?

Thanks in advance, and I’m standing by for your reply.

@Brando ok, It’s doing it again.

Here is my new share link:
https://preview.webflow.com/preview/non-profit-services?preview=4e395b8ed3d9d8e8ddb037f2ecd57bd0

The page is “Downer Grove Adventist School”

The designed page that has been published does not match the published page. The published page is an old version of the designed page.

I double checked and on my end both the preview link you shared and http://non-profit-services.webflow.io/downers-grove-adventist-school are matching up perfectly.

I have reached out to our team about this issue though and we are investigating it.

Can you please provide screenshots of the differences?

Thanks in advance, and I’m standing by for your reply.

Ok.

Here are a few screen shots. I’m not sure how they will help though, because the issue I am experiencing is lag time in seeing my published changes. So here are screen shots of what my changes look like in the designer and the old published design which is still persisting in both Chrome and Safari after publishing my new changes.

Changes in the Designer & have been published:

Persisting old design:

@Brando, I have tried multiple computers, browsers, incognito/private mode, etc. Still seeing the unpublished site with the content as of yesterday afternoon.

Here is a screenshot:

I also ran Fiddler to capture the network traffic. You can see that it is not being cached locally and is pulling down resources from webflow.io:

I was able to work around the issue for now by changing the subdomain and publishing to the new subdomain. The old content is still published to the old subdomain.

Thanks for sharing that info @joshalo3 and @escott

I am looking into this more with the team and will post back here when I have an update.

@joshalo3 is this only occurring on Mobile? Can you please share another set of screenshots with the entire browser window with the console open?

Please keep the feedback coming - we read and log every update so if you run into more strange behavior, please let me know.

Thanks in advance for your patience with this.

Sorry for the late reply. This is continuing to occur. Here is a photo of a section of the page where I have removed one icon. And on the published site the change does not reflect:

Hi @joshalo3

Thanks for sharing more screenshots. I have updated the team and we are looking for a solution for you.

Can you please take a screenshot of the Network panel in the inspector and send it to me?

Thanks in advance!
