One word different text color in paragraph

I just want to change one word in a paragraph to a different color, I need help. It changes the whole page of text when I try. Seems like something simple I am missing.

Hello @Lisa_Hoddinott, welcome to the community!

So what you have to do is to put the word you want to have a different color in a span. Follow this steps:

  1. Select the word and select span from the menu

  1. Then give the span a class

    1. Then select the color that you want

I hope this helps.

Adding to Pablo’s notes, if you’re using a Rich Text element, the span does not exist- however you can repurpose other styles like bold/italic, or even superscript/subscript if you don’t mind the semantic discontinuity.

Here’s a video that shows the technique.

Beyond that, you’re looking for a more advanced setup, using markdown, or a library like Finsweet’s powerful rich text, or Refokus rich text enhancer, plus some markup.

Wrap just that word in a <span> and style the span class with the color you want , otherwise Webflow applies the style to the whole text block. Had to do this for a client headline last week and it worked perfectly.
