I bought a template for my personal blog’s website.
I am trying to set up different Categories for Tabs but can’t find where it could be linked to. I want, for example, to change the “Business” tab for a new one.
On the right side of your screenshot you can see the Tab settings. You can recorder them, add a new tab, or just redesign the content in the current tab if you won’t be using Business any longer.
For example:
– I added a new Category of blog posts – “Travel”
– I need to create a tab called “Travel”
– I need to add a link so that when a user presses “Travel” – it shows all posts with the category “Travel”
You’re using tabs, so you can put whatever content you want inside of them.
In your case, you can probably just look at the contents of the other tabs and copy/paste those contents to your new tab, and change the filter so it will just show the results you want.
There is no direct relation between the tabs element and collection list filtering- I think that’s where you might be confused.
You just create any tab you want, and fill it with whatever content you want.
Awesome!
What you’re looking at there is a collection list inside of your tab page.
You make a good point- for someone unfamiliar with Webflow this might be confusing. That left side tree nav lets you access elements, and the center canvas is the primary place to edit much of your content.
But each element is different- for tabs The content is accessed by expanding the left side tabs links, and tab panes nodes, like you’ve done to see your collection list content.
When you have any part of your tabs element elected, the right side settings lets you configure it… add tabs, remove tbs, reorder them… those types of things.
All elements work fairly similarly. Nav dropdowns. Sliders. Forms, etc.
