Multi-reference Dynamic Content works in Designer, but not in live site

In the News & Blog collection, there’s an option to choose multiple news, event, and service “related links” at the bottom of each collection item. In the “TheUpDate Weekly Newsletter - June 4, 2017” collection item, I have two related events selected in the corresponding reference field.

This displays correctly in the designer.

However, upon publishing it only shows one of the two selected items.

Figured this one out.

One of the two events was unknowingly archived (archived collection items still appear in the multi-reference field dropdown).

Easy peasy.
