Howdy Webflow Forum, I’m having trouble with the mobile menu on a new web project. The mobile menu dropdown navlinks are not working. I’ve been scratching my head over this one but I haven’t been able to find the solution so I’m here to plea for help.
When viewing the mobile version of the site on a mobile device or even my desktop browser the navlinks are not functioning. However, they do work in using the Webflow Preview mode in Chrome. It’s as if something is disabling or prohibiting the links from being recognized as links in the browser. I’m hoping it’s an easy fix, but any help would be much appreciated.
I had issues with the mobile menu in the Webflow preview mode as well in my browser. However, tablet view worked. After looking at this, it looks like the problem lies with your z-index. In mobile view, your z-index on the “nav-menu-mobile” class is set to -100, while in tablet view the z-index is set to “Auto”. I set the z-index in mobile to “auto” and it worked for me. It seems that when that class it is set to -100, although the menu is still visible, it does not allow you to click on any of the links in the menu, but only hides the menu. Which is why it is confusing.
It also seems that some of your menu items in your desktop navigation are not linked, which is why they did not work for me. Products, Gallery, Stylists, and Contact are not linked on the desktop nav. They are currently set to “External URL” but no URL was set.
