Yo, I am kind of new at this cms thing.
I made a template based on @sabanna’s post about how to make a cool gridlook for an album page.
So now I have a page that says portfolio that can click through to the album page. I can’t make a link though from the portfolio page to album.
Can someone help me with this?

Hi, so just to be sure, I see two portfolio pages, can you confirm which portfolio page is the items you are asking about?
On the portfolio page, I have two options “faiz” and “tattoo artists”. I want to link it to a page where I can put the content.
Hi @Aimanisms, it looks like the links to the template detail page are setup correctly, however the “Photo Albums Template” page does not have any elements added to it yet.

Hi @cyberdave I followed your instructions. But when it comes to the portfolio section, I don’t see how I can make collections of more than one image, that I can just activate in my build template.
That is the only thing I am missing here. Can u help?

Are you trying to create a link to a page having a list of thumbs of the portfolio page, or a link to the portfolio detail page that shows the images from the individual collection records?
If you could help to tell clarify how you would like it to work, that will be fantastic.

I am trying to make a page that links to the portfolio thumbnail page. On the page itself I would have the collection of pictures. I want to use CMS to use these collecton of pictures. But I don’t see a possibility to make collections, Just how to upload one picture.

Thanks for the patience, if I understand correctly, you want to link from the artist detail page, to the photos collection, and show all photos for just that particular artist, is this correct?
At the moment, this kind of behavior is not yet supported, or are you trying to build a different kind of link from the detail page to the photos collection?
It is possible to drop a dynamic list on the detail page, but the records on the photos collection would not be filtered by the current record on the artists detail page.
I hope I have understood what you are trying to accomplish. I am here to help as much as I can.
He has a portfolio, he is photographer, so for example for tattoo artist I would like to have it go to an album page of his collection about Tattoo artists. This should be supported, Since I do see this linking happening with blog posts. @cyberdave
Please tell me if I didn’t get this right. 
Fiaz and Tattoo artists are like photo categories. Each individual photo category has a X number of photos. You can do this by creating a collection called something like “photo category” and just having a name field. In this collection make two categories called Fiaz and Tattoo artist.
Now make a new collection called something like Photos. Give this a name field, a image field and the most important field, the reference field. You’ll want to reference Photo category. Upload your desired images and put them in the different categories.
Now make a dynamic list with a link block directing to your current photo category page.
In the photo category page, make a new dynamic list with an image inside. Set the filter to Category is current category (replace with category with what you named your reference field)

Thanks for trying @Davidlin_ch12 the idea is correct. But when you land on the album pages, I only see one picture? I don’t understand how I can upload more than one picture on those pages. That is my whole issue
Make some more image fields in your collection. Then link the background image to the respective image field.

Yeah but how do I add those images on the cms side. I know how to make more fields, but I have to connect them to cms in some way right? How do I do that? Right now it seems I can only make one image per collection? @Davidlin_ch12
I’ll try to give you this step by step guide.
FYI: I’m not sure this will work with a lightbox.
Step 1
Make some more Image field inside of your Photos collection.
Step 2
Upload the respective images.
Step 3
Link the images to your image elements.

I seem to have been able to add images. I have one complete album. But when I go to the page to make a dynamic list it won’t show more than one photo???
Why is that?
