Limit collection item shown multi image lightbox links

Hi, I have a lightbox that is using images from a multi-image field in my Projects CMS collection. The problem is, I only want to display/limit to one image, the first one is fine from the multi-image field. I’m forced to display all images from the field. Is there a workaround?
