Instructional animated GIFs – how do you make them

Hi guys – This forum is full of useful animated GIFs that give step-by-step instructions showing how to go about a task. I’d love to know what software and process you use to make them. I need to give a client some pointers for how to update their webflow articles and would love to give them something like this.

There are tons of them, I use Cockos Incorporated | LICEcap but I’m sure that there are plenty of others.
