I’m new to Webflow, I’ve purchased a template for my photography portfolio and I’m using some collections that were already in it, the problem is that I want to use the same collection on other pages but with different content, for example in the “Videos” folder I have “Real Estate”, “Events” and “Fashion” and all the content that I’ve put in the “Real Estate” page and collection has been duplicated to the rest and if I change it it changes in all of them.
It’s definitely possible but how you do that depends on exactly what you’re trying to build. Especially, the setup will be different on static pages than on collection template pages.
Can you give a clearer breakdown of what you’re trying to build?
The end goal of the pages you want, and what you want that menu to contain in each of them.
I like the default look of the collections I purchased. Before I named the pages in the “Videos” folder “Real Estate”, “Events” and “Moda”, they were called “Films1”, “Films2” and “Films3” and shared the same CMS but with different “looks”. What I want is to reuse that CMS that came with the “Films1”, “Films2” and “Films3” pages and do the following:
/Videos →
/./“Real Estate” (Previously “Films1”) Modify the CMS content
for that page only
/./“Events” (Previously “Films2”) Modify the CMS content for
that page only
/./“Moda” (Previously “Films3”) Modify the CMS content for
that page only
You can use a single collection for you data, but if you want each of their presentations to be different, that will be easiest if you’re using static pages for each of those pages.
Then you can design your collection lists differently in each scenario.
