How to style linked images in Rich Text, separate from regular links?

Hi!

I am styling Rich text elements for a blogpost template.
I want my client to be able to create CTAs within the post, so I have styled links to look like buttons.

I would also like images in their posts to have a link, so that they can link to the products they depict as needed.

The problem I ran into is that I don’t see how to style these two elements separately so that the link styles do not affect the linked image. Right now, a linked image gets the extra padding, BG color, and rounded corners of the link (button) design, which looks terrible.

did you manage to find a fix for this?
