How to Make Webflow E-Commerce Less Painful

So, long story short, I failed to do my research and thought I could develop an ‘advanced’ E-commerce site on Webflow. Little did I know that the E-Com features of Webflow are super basic and abandoned. I tried porting my Webflow site over to Shopify but with no success as the tools (Udesly) used for that are old and basically abandoned.
So if I have come to the conclusion that I just need to stick with Weblow and make it work as best as I can. I am proud of the site I have made for my client and thankfully he probably doesn’t need super duper advanced functionality.
Since I have learned my lesson, I am trying to learn beforehand if there are any tools or info that I should know before I step into the final stages of launching this site. Is anyone out there familiar with good CRM platforms that integrate well with Webflow?
I would still like to integrate customer reviews of products onto the website. I have seen two different tools namely Monto and Supersparks and wondered if anyone has any experience with them?
Also what should I know about setting up shipping and payment? Any suggestions on what platforms to use or not use?
Thanks to anyone who can give a word of advice.

I ran into a limitation: Webflow only allows product weights to be entered in ounces (oz), but my products are measured in pounds (lbs).

While I don’t display the weight on product details pages or anywhere visible to customers, I’m concerned this might cause issues with shipping estimates, as I plan to integrate a third-party shipping service like Shippo or potentially other shipping platforms

Here are the main challenges I’m facing:

  1. Manual Conversion: I could manually convert all the product weights from pounds to ounces (1 lb = 16 oz) when inputting them. Would this work seamlessly with shipping providers like Shippo, or could it lead to inaccuracies?
  2. Code Solution: Is there a way to use custom code or a workaround in Webflow to automate this conversion or set a custom unit like lbs instead of oz?
  3. Shipping Integrations: If anyone has experience using Webflow with Shippo or other shipping platforms, do they handle weight in ounces correctly for calculations, or will this create any discrepancies?

I’d appreciate any guidance or advice on how to handle this issue. If you’ve faced a similar challenge or have found a creative solution, I’d love to hear your experience!

Thanks in advance for your help!

Hey @Gababor, Thanks for the shoutout!

Along with our native Webflow Reviews app, Monto does also have a free simple CRM in beta that you can try out! The Reviews app has a free trial and a free plan for smaller stores, so please try it out and let me know if you have any questions.

We’ve been part of the Webflow ecosystem since the beginning of WF Ecommerce, so we fully understand the difficulties and functionality gaps (which we’ve tried to help patch)! Since Webflow integrates natively with Shippo through the Settings > Ecommerce > Shipping tab, you shouldn’t have any issue with shipping cost calculation. It should be sending all necessary information to purchase and print labels for Webflow orders in Shippo.

Let me know if we can answer any other questions to get you started with Monto!
