How to improve Google Page Speed Insights score on my website

Hello everyone,

I hope you’re all doing well. I’m reaching out for some assistance with improving the Google PageSpeed Insights score for my website: https://www.lde.it/.

So far, I’ve taken the following steps:

  • Reduced the size of images and videos
  • Removed unnecessary transitions and animations.
  • Removed unnecessary classes

Despite these efforts, I haven’t seen a significant improvement in my score. I’m looking for more advice and recommendations on what else I can do to optimize my site’s performance.

Here’s the read only link: Webflow - LDE

  • Get rid of the remaining Google font so you don’t load webfont.js
  • Dump reCAPTCHA with a third party form processor that offers better spam handling and is GDPR compliant. Webflow loads reCaptcha everywhere once you enable it in project settings. Form or not. Big potential GDPR issue.
  • Avoid using useless background videos which add bloat to the page and really don’t help conversion unless you are selling video services.
  • Don’t load a video player API/SDK until the user scrolls to the place where it is inserted or better yet, use a lightbox so nothing is loaded until an element is clicked.

I could go on but those points would get you there. Also make sure your implementation of script blocking is actually working for GDPR.
