How to filter CMS collection dynamically?

Hi everyone,
I would like to create a page with a dynamic filter for my CMS collection items.
Basically I have collection items named Projects in which there is a multi reference field of a Project Category collection item.

What I’d like to do is to be able to filter Project results in just one page by selecting/de-selecting the Project categories that I want to show. I found this example but I’m not sure if it works with CMS collection Filters as well.

Can you help me figure out how to do it?

I was reading their documentation but it seems that the filter doesn’t work with multireference collection, which is my case
