How to copy and paste a symbol to another project

when i try to copy a symbol to another project i get this message when i try to copy

“Cannot copy root symbol”

Can you unlink or duplicate a symbol to make it available for copying

I am trying to move my top and left navs (symbols) into a new project

My bad … right click on symbol, then you can duplicate or unlink symbol

after that you can copy and paste to new project

but you need to use ctrl v to paste
