Hide dynamic grid area if not being used

Hi how do i hide a grid area if it’s not being used? For example i have 3 areas set, for most of the cms items it has all 3. For some it has 2.
How do i hide the empty grid space to make up for the empty space in the grid for the ones that have 2 vs 3.

for further clarification this is being used in a cms item page. pulling cms info from the item. not using another collection list.

hey i actually just figured out to do this by playing around with grid areas, theyre size settings and auto fit.

great success! i can’t really explain what i did, just used the max content setting on the grid setting. and enabled auto fit. worked like a charm.
