Hi there,
Here’s how to create a functional accordion in Webflow:
First, add a Dropdown element from the Add panel (Elements > Advanced). Set its width to 100% to ensure it fills its parent container. In the dropdown settings, change the Position to “Static” and set Overflow to “Hidden” - this prevents layout issues.
For the dropdown toggle, set the Display to “Flex” and define a specific height. This creates a consistent clickable area. You can style the toggle further by adding padding, background colors, and other visual elements as needed.
To create the opening/closing animations:
- Open the Interactions panel
- Create a new interaction for the dropdown
- Add an animation for both the Initial and Expanded states
- Set the height, opacity, and timing of your transitions
- Test the interaction to ensure smooth transitions
You can enhance the accordion by adding icons that rotate on click, adjusting spacing between items, and customizing the content area styles.
Hopefully this helps! If you still need assistance, please reply here so somebody from the community can help.
Hello @Laure_Mimram ,
The Content for your accordions come from the CMS, you have a collection called Services, there is no content under description for Marketing & Product Strategy. So to fill it out go to your CMS collections
Then fill out the description for that collection, then set to publish and it should be filled out
I hope this helps.
