I am new to webflow (reluctantly moved from designing in Muse) and I am a graphic designer not a programmer. I am having trouble with the forms in my first published site for my client that I designed in workflow, hosted in Go Daddy. I used formtoemail.com as a 3rd party form service and the email is being sent to my client but the success messages are not working. I followed the tutorial and put all the code where it was suppose to go. The website it www.resortman.com. There are 2 forms on the Contact page and the tour page. They are acting as one form. Anyone out there that’s had this issue or can help me resolve it? I certainly would appreciate your help!
Hello Eileen,
Could you share your read only link for your site.
Hi Pablo, In my website it is set up as two forms but in formtoemail I set it up like one form. (The client was more interested in getting the email responses than the data in a form so instead of having the expense of more than one form, I treated it as one.) The ID for the forms are different names so I am wondering if this is part of the problem? Here is the read only link: https://preview.webflow.com/preview/resortman?utm_source=resortman&preview=5d27423900a8573c14a4dd58aeeb1297
Hi Eileen,
The issue is your that the success url does not exist.
http://resortman.com/contact?success=1
When you exported the site, the file extension of .html was added to all pages. So contact is now contact.html
You need to update it to the self hosted value of your contact page; Contact ResortMan or contact.html?success=1
Since your hosting server supports HTTPS , I would recommend you have your hosting set up to redirect http to https and use https links.
Thank you for your help. I was pulling my hair out trying to figure out where I went wrong!
Hello Eileen,
@webdev beat me to the answer. Hopefully you can solve your issue now.
Yes, that was the fix! I feel stupid I didn’t figure it out myself! I appreciate your help.
