Freelance: Stripe integration

Looking for some quick help integrating Stripe buttons into my site. I only have 3 product options but I need to do recurring payments. Other than that, I don’t need anything too fancy and I’m hoping it won’t take very long. Thank you!!

Stripe has fantasitc documentation regarding how to integrate buttons and checkout button Stripe Checkout | Stripe Documentation

Has you (or anyone else) had a good experience with stripe (or others) ?

Am looking to add stripe or equivalent functionality.

Need to setup a way for my customers to pay me (which is very important) online

  • and bypass the current PayPal route.

Also have a customer who sells products online - need a checkout for her.

@Revolution

I have been using stripe for a few months now. To be honest they are good, the only problem I have with them is that they take 7 days to process a payment.

I use https://www.waveapps.com/ to manage my payments and accounting. Excellent stuff. And it is FREE!
They integrate with stripe for payments.

Stripe is legit. I work for a pretty large online subscription service and that is what we use.

I realized after I signed up with them that placing a stripe button on my website doesn’t actually charge the customer when they pay and it has to be done manually from what I can tell. I read their documentation but honestly I am still confused on how it works. I don’t understand why they just can’t make it how other merchant accounts make their “buy now” buttons.

Does the waveapps automatically process the payments?

I have read through those documents and I still don’t know what I’m doing. I literally have next to zero experience with any of this stuff, hence why I’m on Webflow in the first place, and so it just confused me.

@GodlessGlen… Yes waveapps automatically charges them. I was looking at different programs like freshbooks and everything and wave was the best. Did everything. Again I would suggest you sign up (its completely free - the whole thing) and take a look for yourself. I use it everyday.

Awesome, thanks for the great info. I might just use that for my clients and myself (if I need it). BTW, have you checked out Dwolla? Their plan is free or 25 cents for purchases over $10. The bad part is that both parties need to be on the platform to take full advantage of it and it doesn’t use credit cards. It uses bank accounts. And there is Ribbon, which is similar but I’m still waiting on an invite. Those two are the most affordable solutions that I have found.

Thanks for the suggestion. I’ll have a look!

So would I be able to use Waveapps to get buttons and integrate Stripe into my site? I’m pretty ignorant when it comes to the code so it has to be very simple for me to be able to do it alone…(ie copy/paste and modify a few parameters is about as far as I can go)

@ForcaRunning … No you won’t. Waveapps is more of an invoicing software that helps you invoice clients. It does not allow for creating special buttons and stuff. If you want to get something that does that I would recommend checking out http://www.moonclerk.com/ . I used to use theme before. They are the place to go. Very affordable, ability to capture important data through custom forms, recurring billing, custom buttons and all that stuff! And they integrate with Stripe.

Also, check out this page:
https://stripe.com/docs/integrations
It shows all the available integrations with Stripe. Click a bunch of them and see which one works for you!

Good luck!

Payolee offers simple stripe integration. Accept payments online with Payolee
great for freelancers.

You can use www.IntegratePayments.com to accept payments on any website or through any software application. I am actually building the website through Webflow and I am in the payment industry for over 12 years. It is a secure payment gateway that abides by all PCI compliance regulations. Take a look and let me know if you have any questions about integration.

Thanks,

Jibby

By the way - Stripe does not actually integrate with Webflow! I went through the trouble of setting it all up, and what it does is collect the information - but you need backend PHP (or other type) code to actually charge the card.

There is no way to do this on Webflow :frowning:

Wish I had known before going through all the effort, especially since there are so many threads implying that it might work.
