Free tier limits for Webflow hosting

Hello, I’m currently developing a website for another team at our organisation and for some reason they want to use Webflow but only their free plan. When I suggested that we should re-create the website using our own code, they said we should just publish the free Webflow website, then route the domain to the URL using a CNAME DNS record or using it as a CDN origin.

What are the limitations with using this approach? Does the free static host expire after a certain amount of time or throttle requests? I’d prefer writing the code myself and publishing to AWS where it costs virtually nothing anyway.

@Radi with the free plan you can use custom domains. all domains will be in site-name.webflow.io format. The free plan as far as I know doesn’t expire/throttle but it limits you to only 2 static pages.
