I’ve noticed something strange with the emails I receive from my Webflow form submissions. Previously, the email would show the number of leads received for each month in a clear format, like this: Number of submissions received: 20/500 this month
January 1st – January 31st
But now, the format has changed, and it shows something odd like this: Number of submissions received: 111/1e+100 this month
January 1st – January 31st
Does anyone know why this might be happening or how I can fix it? Is it an issue with the Webflow settings, the email template, or perhaps an integration I’m using?
Hahahaha, Webflow removed the limit on form submissions, but it looks like they haven’t updated the email notification change yet.
That’s scientific notation for larger numbers. 1e+100 is actually a google - the math term which the search engine was named after. It means a 1 with 100 zeroes after it.
Think of it as “infinity”, expressed in a database.
That’s the correct representation of how many form submissions you have remaining- it’s simply confusing for those who didn’t take math / science classes and do not recognize E notation.
It’s also not very useful, now that submissions are recently unlimited.
My point is there is no bug here, it’s simply no longer useful information, so switching that off on your paid-plan sites is the right answer.
The exception of course is starter sites which have a 50 form submission lifetime limit, and do need that indicator.
At some point, WF will likely redesign notifications, you should definitely contact support if this is a problem for you, or create a wishlist item.
