First time Foxy Cart integration

I have a client who sells T-shirts. Their site will be very straight forward but this is the first time I will be using Foxy cart. With clothing there is obviously sizes and colors. My layout will show options to choose from for both (they will pull from the CMS). Can page elements be used to send the proper info to Foxy Cart?

All the demos I have seen so far simple allow you to send the current product info you are displaying and not options.

Does anyone have some experience with this?
