Finsweet work-around: multiple nested CMS collection lists per page

Hello Community.

I am struggling with a Finsweet work-around for multiple nested CMS lists.
Explained in:

Updated my CMS with a text field that lists the same strings that another multi-ref field is referencing.
Created a hidden list, pulling all of my data from a referenced CMS.
Bound this list to the div block in my card, writing a script using Finsweet visual script writer and placing it in the page’s Before tag.

Not showing up!

I think the Finsweet work-around only works on text fields. If I wanted to pull up an image from my multi-ref CMS into the CMS Collection List’s card, it won’t work. Can somebody please confirm?

Thank you
Boris

Hey Boris

I worked a lot of hours on nested CMS Collections today. Let me know, if you still need some help. Also send me the RO-Link of your project.

You probably know: This CMS Library / Text Field with same strings as multi-ref field isn’t necessary anymore.

Cheers
Andres

Hi there @Andres_U,
I just watched the video from Finsweet and so your comment. Would you explain to me how you’ve done the multi nested collection in one page without using the CMS Library / Text Field with same strings as multi-ref field ? It would be very very much appreciated!!!

Hi @Estelle_B, thanks for reaching out to me.
This is a sample project I built, where you also can see that interactions for CMS Nest don’t work yet. Remember: Nested CMS elements won’t show in preview mode.

Hope this helps!

I get an error when I try to do this. How do you achieved this?

Looked at the documentary from top to bottom 20x times to find the mistake  also bit trial and error and comparison with other webflow projects

I agree the Finsweet documentation is poor / confusing.
