Feature request: Multi-user Designer access for different pages

Hi Webflow team,

Our team recently purchased additional seats so that multiple designers could work at the same time on different pages within the same project. However, we’ve discovered that Webflow currently restricts Designer access to only one user at a time, even if each collaborator has a paid seat.

This limitation makes it extremely difficult for teams to progress efficiently — especially when the work is clearly separated (for example, one designer working on the Home page while another designs the About or Contact page).

It would be incredibly helpful if Webflow allowed multiple designers to work simultaneously on different pages or sections of the same project, similar to how collaboration functions in Figma or Notion.

Even a system where each page is “locked” when being edited by someone (so others can’t overwrite it) would be a huge improvement over the current single-user restriction.

We’re on the Growth plan and have purchased extra seats with the intention of building collaboratively — this feature would be essential for modern design workflows and team efficiency.

Could you please let us know if multi-user Designer editing is on your roadmap?

Thank you for your time and for continuously improving Webflow.

Best regards,

Hi there,

Real-time collaboration is currently available in private beta and will be released for general availability later this year. When launched, this feature will allow teammates to design and edit the same page simultaneously.

Until then, while multiple teammates can edit content, only one person can be in design mode at a time. Other team members will be placed in build mode when someone else is in design mode. The system automatically switches users from design mode to build mode after two minutes of inactivity, allowing others to request design control.

Hopefully this helps! If you still need assistance, please reply here so somebody from the community can help.
