Error 400 Bad Request on Collection Pages

Hi Gang,

Our website is pulling in a TONNE Of traffic and for the most part it does very well and performs well. But this error keeps cropping up.

This error 400 occurs intimately on any of our pages http://www.plantbasednews.org but mostly our article pages

Has anyone else experienced this error? WE have noticed massive drop offs in our traffic and this is harming our business becuase we are about to be accepted on to a major advertising network and if they see these drops it is quite possible we may not be accepted.

So we urgently need to resolve this. Any ideas?

Hi @laveritalondon

As I explained in the email I sent you, this is a client side error that can be caused for various reasons including corrupted cookies in the browser or DNS cache in on your device.

I did investigate this specific error that you’re getting : 400 Bad Request Request Header Or Cookie Too Large nginx

That issue can be caused by corrupted cookies.
The solution is to clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.

Hope this is helpful.

Thanks Anna. I always post here too incase someone else has the problem.

And we really appreciate that @laveritalondon

Hope our community can be helpful as always.

Keep us posted if any of the fixes we suggested works. So, we can all learn how to fix such issues.

Just know that the site is live and we can all see the pages, so don’t worry about that.
