Ecommerce theme on a CMS plan for a B2B store (no Ecom features needed)

Hi guys,

I need to build a website for a client. The website will be a B2B store-like website, but he doesn’t need to sell anything from it. As in other B2B stores, customers would need to contact the business in order to make a purchase. So I don’t need any Ecommerce functionality and we will go for a CMS plan, at least in the beginning.

So my question is: if we buy this “T-Shirts - Retail & E-Commerce Website Template”:

  1. Does it work with a CMS plan? If not: how much work would I need to do in order to make it work?

2. Do you think this is a good approach for this kind of websites or do you better recommend using a CMS template and then creating the product-like and product categories-like pages manually?

Thanks beforehand.

Hey @Eder_Iraizoz , you can use an Ecom template for a CMS site. You will just need to go into the Settings > Ecommerce > Checkout and disable checkout in order to pay the CMS plan prices instead of the Ecom prices.

You can also use our app CartGenie.com for creating your store as well. We even have custom offline payment methods, that might work well depending on your use case. This way the customer can make a purchase online, but then can pay either in-store, via wire transfer, etc. – you can use any custom offline method you want.

Let me know if you have any questions!
