Who else here has their fingers crossed they announce dynamically populated navigation at the conference? It seems like page creation for Editors is coming, but if Editors can’t have pages they create automatically added to the nav then it’s a little bit of a dud.
This is pretty much standard for every platform out there (Squarespace, Wix, WordPress, Drupal…). The biggest hurdle for design agencies convincing clients to switch to WordPress is the inability to do basic things other CMS’ allow, such as this. Most clients don’t want to learn the Designer to add pages to the nav (and most agencies don’t want them playing around in the Designer anyway). And it’s not feasible to ask every client to pay every time they want something added to the site. Feels like WebFlow has been a little slow to build the tools design agencies need to help move more clients to their platform.
If you’d like to see this, feel free to vote for this on the WishList here: Dynamic Navigation (auto populate based on page | Webflow Wishlist
In the meantime, if anyone knows of a way to build a dynamic nav that uses Pages (not a collection) to populate it or if there are any WebFlow apps that do this, I would love to know.
