Here is my site Read-Only: LINK
(how to share your site Read-Only link)

figured out the button problem but now the text keeps dissapearing!

Not sure what you’re trying to accomplish with this;

If the text is static, you don’t want to link it to the CMS. If the text will be different for each of your ebooks, you can link that, but you’ll need to make sure to put the text you want on every ebook CMS item.

The CMS, collection pages, and collection lists can be a bit confusing when you first encounter them so I highly recommend you do the webflow U courses on them. You’ll have a lot less frustration figuring out how to accomplish your goals.

hi - As i understood the only way to allow someone to download an ebook from your website is through a CMS.

Is that not correct?

I actually found that the button was working after when I just used a collection list on a static page instead of trying to use a collection page.

But once i did that, webflow did not allow me to edit any specific text. nothing was working until i connected the whole section to the CMS as well.

I’m not sure why you think that.

A collection page is no different from any other page, except in that it has a collection item context. Therefore you can use static elements, or CMS-bound elements, freely.

For plain static text, just use a plain static text element.
