Discount code/Sale price automatically applied with a custom link

Hey guys, looking to add a way to automatically apply the discount code coupon we created or in our ecommerce (or a sale price) when a user visits our product page or checkout page (preferably product page) with a custom link. Is it something that’s possible to do? Would appreciate any help or pointers with this!
