Controlling Form Field Text Color

I’m looking for a way to change the color of the text inside a form field (bottom of the page).

I’ve looked into this and realize its all browser specific.

I have tried inserting this code:

It has not worked. Any ideas what I’m doing wrong?

I think it’s just a syntax error in the example. Should be “input::placeholder”
