Code Export Affects SEO Very Negatively

Hey y’all,

I’ve noticed exporting Webflow code and hosting it, affects rankings very negatively.
I couldn’t find a thread or more information on what Webflow’s code export does not include, as there are some obvious ones I found so far:

  • .htaccess for proper redirects :white_check_mark:
  • /sitemap.xml :white_check_mark:
  • /robots.txt
  • change “/index.html” in all files to “/” (in combination with .htaccess) :white_check_mark:

And yes ofcourse the form has been setup using .php file.

But still, every site I publish, even simple local landing pages with 0 competition, something about all the code exports is horribly ruining SEO.

All SEO checkers and tools I’ve checked so far do not spot the issue.

Anyone has other suggestions?

That wouldn’t make any logical sense.
The HTML, CSS, JS, are identical. Main thing is no CMS, the rest is generally provided by your hosting platform.

Make certain your domain name is the same, obviously, and you might check to see if the IPs of the server you’re using are blacklisted. The only real difference here is potentially the hosting platform itself.
