Changing payment providers after converting to Shopify?

Hello!

Currently building out my client’s Ecom site in webflow with plans to convert it to a Shopify site. webflow wants me to set up the store to add products and such but it’s asking for the payment provider, shipping…etc info and I’m wondering if all that can be changed once the store is over in Shopify. Have any webflow devs out there had any experience with this?

Thank you

Hi, fellow Chris! I don’t have any experience in converting from Webflow to Shopify, but in Webflow’s own documentation, it recommends building out your catalog using the CMS functionality, and not ecommerce, if you plan to use Shopify for those functions. That being said, if you do this and don’t plan to host with Webflow, none of the CMS content will export. So, if that’s the case, you’d have to follow whatever Shopify’s methods are to add custom navigation / buy buttons to your own site, or look into a tool like Udesly. Hope this helps!

Hello Chris!

Yea I was planning on using Udesly tools. I have a feeling I might have to venture into the unknown and just go for it and see what happens.

Thank you very much for responding!

Of course, happy to. I haven’t used Udesly myself, but if you have any questions, I’m happy to make an attempt at helping out. Would honestly love a first-hand account of how your experience was in general.
