Burger menu not opening on published mobile site

Hi everyone,

I can’t figure out why my hamburger menu isn’t opening/responding on my mobile device. It appears to be working in preview, but not in real-life after I’ve published. I used the Navbar element, but I customized the menu to transition to an X when opened. Did I screw something up when doing this?

Is it as obvious as needing to create an interaction to unhide the dropdown menu on click? I was under that impression that the navbar element had this function built in, (and I wasn’t figuring out a clear way to do that) but maybe I’m mistaken.

Hi Amanda,

I linked the Open/Close interaction you created to the navbar itself and removed it from the “menu-btn” element and everything seems to be working correctly now. Typically you would have the interaction on the element you want to effect but for a navbar interaction to work correctly, you need to assign the interaction to the navbar itself.
