Burger menu not clickable on iOS

Hi everyone,

I’m having an issue with my Webflow site: the burger menu and all links in the footer navigation are not clickable on iOS (iPhone, all browsers). It works perfectly on Android (all browsers), desktop, and tablet, but on iOS, tapping the menu or footer links does nothing.

I’ve checked the interactions and settings, but I can’t figure out what’s causing the issue. Has anyone encountered this before? Any ideas on how to fix it?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Hi there,

While I can’t see the specific iOS navigation issue you’re experiencing, here are some general troubleshooting steps for Navbar menu button issues on iOS devices:

The Navbar menu button should work consistently across all devices when properly configured. Check that your navbar settings include:

  • Proper breakpoint settings for mobile view
  • Correct interaction triggers for the menu button
  • Menu items properly nested within the navigation menu

You can also try previewing your site in different iOS devices through the Designer’s preview mode to identify any potential device-specific issues. If the problem persists, sharing more details about your specific setup and the issue you’re experiencing would help the community provide more targeted assistance.

Hopefully this helps! If you still need assistance, please reply here so somebody from the community can help.

Thanks for your reply! I’ll check what you’ve mentioned

Hi there!

I’ve double-checked everything:
:check_mark: Breakpoint settings for mobile view
:check_mark: Menu button interaction triggers
:check_mark: Menu items properly nested within the navigation

Everything works fine in preview mode and across all breakpoints. However, on the published version, the burger menu button doesn’t work only on iOS (tested on iPhone 12 Pro, 13, and 14).

  • The issue occurs only with the burger menu button (the logo works fine and redirects to the homepage).
  • The navbar works perfectly on Android and all desktop browsers.
  • The footer issue seems to be just a link problem, so that’s already fixed.

Has anyone encountered this before or have any ideas on what might be causing this iOS-specific issue?

Thanks !

I experience the exact same challenge. Is there already a solution for this?
This issue just came up a few days ago. Everything worked properly before.

A common issue with iOS is overlapping elements that block clicks. Double-check your z-index settings and ensure nothing is covering the burger menu or footer links. Also, test in an incognito window to rule out caching issues. If you need professional help, check Idea Maker’s iOS app development services they specialize in building and troubleshooting iOS apps!
