Blue box surrounds section after selecting nav link

Hello,

I am encountering a strange error on TABLET & MOBILE! i have a navigation menu that overlays my main content when a button is pressed. From here the user can select various links that navigate them to somewhere on the page. Each link is associated to a section. The H2 links behave as they should. The H3 links navigate to the section and then highlight it in a blue highlight and select the section. I thought this was an issue with overlap but that doesn’t make sense since it doesn’t happen with the H2 ones. Happens on both safari and chrome! See the image below to see whats happening.
