I’ve done a few searches trying to find an answer for this, but nothing seems to fit what I’m looking for. I’m working on building a new travel website that curates boutique accommodations, restaurant recommendations, etc. We’re using the Webflow CMS for things like the hotel pages, city guide pages and destination pages — which works well because they all follow the same design and content.
However, I’m struggling to figure out the best way to set up articles…
Having one default CMS collection for this isn’t going to work, because the article/blog post content will vary pretty widely. Some will be things like “The Best Coffee Shops in Paris” which is a more list-like format with different data fields (images, address, IG link, etc), and others will be more editorial with paragraphs of text and image galleries. And even if we could use the same design format for each type of article, we’re still running into issues with the 60-field limitation per collection.
So my next thought was to just create static pages, but that’ll quickly become problematic with the website page limits. If we just ignored the page limit issue for now, is there even a way to dynamically pull in static pages in a “recent posts” section of the site (similar to how you can with collections)?
I know Webflow isn’t really a blogging platform, but I’m struggling to figure out how to do this! Preview link below (please excuse the mess…)
