You’re right, I’m so silly. I just checked another browser and it’s working as expected 
It’s some silly plugin on that Arc Search browser on Android.

I was wondering what browser & setting that was.
It did a pretty good job of reinterpreting the color scheme and maintaining contrast.
My first reaction was to look for a dark mode switch buried in the page design because the colors looked too carefully selected.
