Awesome interactive globe! How is it made?

Came across this awesome 3D interactive globe on the Github homepage: https://github.com
Does anyone know how one would even begin creating this in Webflow to be able to move it with your mouse too? My guess is it involves A LOT of custom coding?

If anyone has any ideas about how they made this and how/if it can be made in Webflow that would be great!

Yes, 23159 lines of JavaScript code, to be precise. The globe is rendered with WebGL leveraging the three.js library. Enjoy your research ahead.
